Update Of My Goals And Setbacks

Hi, I just wanted to give an update on how my goals have been coming along.  It was my birthday on Tuesday, February 19th.  I have to be very honest, I over indulged and ate a lot of my ice cream cake that my husband bought.  This week has been very busy for me and my family so I haven’t been eating quite as well as I would like.  I am looking at it in the sense that I need to just get back in the swing of things on Monday because I always treat myself to one good meal of anything I want to eat on Saturdays.  I have learned that to lose weight you can’t deprive yourself constantly of foods that you crave or you will just set yourself up to binge eat.  The key to weight loss in my opinion is not perfectionism, it is impossible to be perfect in everything that you eat and drink and it is not the real world.  You and I are always going to be exposed to food and you have to look at it as I am going to make a good food choice 90% of the time and 10% of the time you can enjoy the foods that you crave.

What Is Your Favorite Cookie?

My favorite cookie is a chocolate chip cookie.  I love chocolate and that is probably why.

I also really enjoy sugar cookies :)

My Goals For Healthy Weight-Loss

I think the most important goal to have for weight loss is to be willing to change your eating and exercise habits.  I will be changing the way that I eat by taking baby steps.  To often we try to do to much, to soon and we wonder why we fail.  It is because trying to do it all is simply impossible. You need to take baby steps towards your way to eating healthy and beginning to exercise because these steps will lead to great achievements. I will be taking weekly steps to achieve my desired weight-loss and exercise goals. 

My Goals are:

Eating Healthy Foods, Fruits and Vegetables

Exercising, using my treadmill 3 times a week and  then increasing to 4 times a week

Cut down on my soda consumption to 2 cans of pop a week

Chocolate allowed 2 times per week “This Is A Challenge” I love, love, love, love CHOCOLATE, you get the picture.

The first step I will be taking is to eat breakfast everyday, they say it is the most important meal of the day because it gets your metabolism up and running and keeps your body fueled all day. 

Breakfast:  1 piece of 12 Grain Toast with Jelly and 1 banana,  water to drink

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I will walk on my treadmill doing intervals. 

I will keep you updated.  Try this and let me know if it works for you.

This is my 2 baby-steps for 1 week.

A Little About Me!
